I truly believe humans can have a different life to scrolling and being plugged in to a computer – this is not the way we were supposed to exist on Earth.

Finding People and being WITH People!
Day 20
Ok so this will be short and sweet today
I’m slowly but surely reconnecting to people
REAL PEOPLE – face to face!
My life is definitely starting to change.
I’m actively making plans with the friends I already have – making sure I actually set up a coffee date and GO to it rather than just talk about it
“oh we should do coffee” and then never going.
I’m making a point of contacting my friends when I think of them
I’m also setting up new hobbies where I spend time with people!
I’m inviting people over to my house and spending time with them
I’m decorating my house for Halloween so my kids are happy
I’m seeing my elderly father (91) now every Wednesday and Sunday
My life is slowing changing back to the ‘good old days’
And what I mean by that, is what I used to do when I was younger before the phone and social media existed
I’m trying to remember what it was like
Now, obviously I was a teenager then and now I’m 44 – so I don’t have experience of being an adult and living life without social media
So I’m having to remember what I did before but also create a new way of living
I want to be a different type of person from my head in a phone –
I don’t want to be plugged in anymore…
I’m reading the news to stay connected – and I’ve read today the yet another professional in AI – has left their job saying that he believes it’s a 50% chance that AI can kill the human race if we don’t put in safety measures….
If I honestly don’t have many years left to live – then do I really want to scroll?
NO!
I want to be around people!
I want to see them face to face!
I want to interact!
Yesterday I went to a group exercise class – and no – I don’t want or like to exercise, perhaps that’ll change – but am not enthusiastic or inspired to exercise – HOWEVER….
I AM INSPIRED and enthusiastic to be AROUND PEOPLE
There was 7 of us exercising. Strangers to me atm. But wow did we work well in a group immediately. When someone was struggling we cheered them and clapped them.
I looked at one man’s face and really appreciated his genuine smile – it lit his face up – all covered in sweat. He seemed happy, relaxed and accepting of the group even though we were all very different ages.
I learnt their names and spent an hour in a small room with them
It was a beautiful experience really – we were strangers – but a team….
In other news …
I had my best friend over last night – we watched a film together – my son joined us – we got snacks and made pizza –
We spoke and connected. Laughed and I got to cuddle my son on the sofa instead of losing him to his own screen…
I’ve booked 4 more exercise classes – again NOT because I want to exercise. I just want to be around people!
I’m making plans to see my good friends who either live close and the ones that live far away!
I’m visiting dad today (as it’s Sunday) to do his washing and have tea.
I worked a small amount with someone face to face today and spent extra time making sure they are happy and they learnt their skill well. I was empathetic, caring and kind.
I want to be honest in this blog – so I will Include the ‘bad’ symptoms.
Yesterday and the day before I suffered with 3 mini panic attacks. I haven’t had them for years! – they weren’t big – but certainly noticeable.
I don’t know why I had them – I can’t see a reason – but what I do know is I used to have them.
I haven’t had them for years
Strangely – I’m not seeing this as a bad thing – in fact quite the opposite, weirdly.
I feel that it is a release – a return to who I am perhaps – taking the plaster off, so to speak, to see the wound underneath. I truly believe getting ‘air’ to the wounds will heal them.
So I’m not worried about my panic attacks at all – maybe it’s a reveal that I’m just drinking far too much caffeine …
Maybe that’s my next blog that I write about – giving up caffeine… who knows
The world is my oyster
So overall I’m feeling positive monitoring all my symptoms, feelings, emotions and progress ….
